men caught on camera monday smashing a display case inside the zales jewelry store in pentagon city stealing 27 diamond rings. >> i had seen that and when i looked up at my desk and i saw the guy heading toward me, that was the first thing i thought. they're here, same ones. >> reporter: frederick police say they're looking into that possibility. >> we're in communication with arlington pd. we're reviewing their information and showing them our information and seeing if they link up and if they do, we'll work it cooperatively. >> reporter: in both cases it appears the bandits used a hammer to break open the display cases. in today's caper the hammer was dropped and left behind, their victims left to deal with the effects of being pepper sprayed, but they're all okay physically. >> after today's heist police say the hooded men got away in derek colored suv or truck. it was a red -- a dark colored suv or truck. it was a red sedan that was seen leaving the scene in pentagon city. >>> police believe this woman robbed two banks in a matter of minutes yesterday in northwest d.c. one rob
